Brand & identity
Positioning, naming, visual systems and the guidelines that keep it coherent as you grow.
Cobalt Kin is a senior-only studio for brands that need more than a deliverable. We design and engineer websites, products and digital systems that hold up in the real world.

Who we are
We keep the team deliberately small so the people who pitch the work are the people who build it. No handoffs, no layers, no account theatre.
Inside the studio
Four disciplines, one room: strategy, brand, interface and engineering.
Most digital projects fail at the seams — between the brand deck and the build, between the design file and the release. We removed the seams. Strategy, design and code sit in the same conversation, which is why our work ships faster and survives contact with real users.
You get a lead partner, a working prototype in week three, and a site or product that your team can actually maintain after we're gone.
What we do
Engagements are scoped to outcomes, not hours. Every service can stand alone, but they compound when sequenced together.
All services & pricingPositioning, naming, visual systems and the guidelines that keep it coherent as you grow.
Marketing sites engineered for speed, search and conversion — not just for the portfolio shot.
Interfaces for software people use daily: research, flows, design systems and prototype testing.
Storefronts and checkout journeys that reduce friction and lift average order value.
Measurement that tells you what happened, plus experiments that change what happens next.
A 30-minute call usually clarifies it. No pitch deck required.
Selected work
Four projects from the last 18 months — a rebrand, a product launch, a storefront rebuild and a platform migration.
View all 8 case studiesHow it runs
A typical engagement runs six to ten weeks. You always know what's happening and what's next — the board is open, not summarised.
Week 1 · Stakeholder interviews, analytics review
We learn the business before touching a pixel: what's working, what's leaking value, and where the real constraint is. You leave with a written diagnosis, not a moodboard.
Week 1–2 · Positioning, sitemap, success metrics
A single page of decisions that everything else follows from: audience, promise, proof, and the structure that makes each one findable. Agreed in writing before design starts.
Week 2–4 · Art direction, key screens, weekly reviews
Two directions, one chosen fast. We design with real content and real constraints, then refine in working sessions with your team rather than one big reveal.
Week 4–8 · Front-end, CMS, integrations, QA
Semantic, accessible markup and a maintainable content model. You can click through a live staging build from week four onward — no guessing what it will feel like.
Week 8+ · Migration, monitoring, training, support
Redirect maps, performance budgets, analytics events and a recorded walkthrough for your team. Then 30 days of support while the real traffic arrives.
★★★★★"They found the commercial problem underneath the design brief. That reframing is worth more than the site itself."
★★★★★"Fastest launch of my career, and the first one where the build matched the Figma exactly. No translation loss."
★★★★★"Clinical staff stopped complaining about the software. In healthcare, that's a five-star review."
